I had the chance to go around the city and explore details that I had not seen before. And explore details through a lens is even more exciting. However, immensely challenging when it came to the moment to capture something. Walking is such a common thing in our everyday life that sometimes we forget to look around and discover other things rather than the path right in front of our eyes. I have been walking for one hour and a half and trying to go and look in different ways for the things around me. Excellent exercise, especially for someone with my progression route. I need to keep an eye around me at all times. That is something that I can certainly take from this exercise. Sometimes I can be lazy to carry a camera or go into different places where I have not been, and I could not be happier with the result.
It is so different if we compare the pink building and the next one. The pink one almost reminds me of Lego. Also, the pink colour makes a lot of contrast. This road is just five minutes from the campus, and I have passed by so many times, and just today, I had the chance to look at this cute building in the city.
The big iron door. It is massive, and the design is unique. Remind me of Tetris as we can see one of the "pieces" just out of place. It can be a gate or a garage, but not sure. I was trying to figure it out but with no success.
This place is just opposite the DMU campus, next to an Off license. It is a place where almost anyone goes. However, I could see that some sheets and a duvet probably belonged to a homeless person. A nice place, full of Art on its walls.
The bench is just on the DMU campus. I have been passing by every day, and just today, I looked into this weird architecture. The way the bench is put in the concrete is quite different.
Just in front of the entrance to the Haymarket Theatre, I could find this metal tree sculpture by Hubert Dalwood. For many years was the only major piece of abstract sculpture in Leicester.
These stairs are just by the Market in the city centre. I know the pub just underneath these stairs, The Wetherspoon. However, I just have seen it from the front, and it is quite beautiful because it does an arch.
