Podcast - Equipment

For my podcast I have used different equipment that I could borrow from AV Loans. We had an introduction session where we could look to the different materials that we can use to produce a podcast. 

On the week seven I had an introduction to different microphones such as Dynamic, Condenser, USB microphones and XLR microphones. A good introduction to understand the different features between them. I also had the chance to know more about recorders such as Zoom H5 and I had a demonstration how to work with that. 

I had knowledge about microphones before but also editing software such as Adobe Audition and Audacity. I have chosen to work with a Condenser microphone and the Zoom H5. 

Material needed to record and editing my podcast:

- Zoom H5 Digital Audio Recorder

- XLR Cable

- Tabletop Microphone Stand

- Headphones

- Condenser Microphone (Sennheiser MD421)

To editing I will use my laptop with the software Adobe Audition. I have studied Audio in the past so I am familiar with this.
