Final Post - Reflection
After had a sudden change from Art and Design, a decision that it makes sense for me. Although, after some intensive weeks that brought me here, I am very grateful. What I look for in my career is more related to writing or podcasting, and that creative part of me is what needs to come out. I am sad that I do not have enough time to attend the classes about Photography in the first three weeks of the second term, which can be seen in my final project. My Photography project, compared to the others, is the one that I have dedicated less time to, and that will be my progression route. The fact that I feel comfortable with Photography instead of writing or podcasting does not mean that the outcome will be better. However, I could say that I did everything, and I am very proud of that. I have enjoyed so much the Creative Writing, and being able to express myself differently is also interesting to discover other sides of myself. The Podcast was also an incredible moment, and I can say that it is my favourite project this term. I found it interesting that I have worked with the editing software Adobe Audition, and it was good to have a project related to that. Also, the fact that I had to work with other people for the interviews makes me excited as I enjoy sharing my work and having people participate in my projects. Classes and topics like this make me exciting. Working in a team is an essential tool that students can get from the beginning by experiencing moments like this. Looking forward for the next term, where I want to spend more time doing research and observe other people works to be able to experiment different techniques and reinvent myself as an artist. Overall experience, even intensive, was a very good moment. And look back I feel that I have enjoyed my time during the second term, but it is never enough these short weeks that I had at DMUIC. I am very excited for the third term and bring ideas and knowledge that I have been building, mostly since I have started my journey at DMU.
